If you see visible signs of this, it is important to take care of it right away. Not doing so could cause contamination the fish aquarium and cause sickness and even death to the fish that reside in the aquarium.

If you choose to replace the water in the fish aquarium, it is important that you find a suitable place for the fish to remain while you do so. The best way to do this is to take some of the water from the tank and place it in a smaller tank, or bowl, in order to keep them satisfied until the main aquarium is prepared. You should also put a supply of air into the holding tank if the fish in your aquarium require additional air. This will ensure that they are able to remain safe while you replace the water in the aquarium.

When replacing the water in the fish aquarium, you should ensure that you clean all of the items. You should boil any type of gravel or rocks that are in the fish aquarium. You should also clean any type of artificial plants that are in the fish aquarium with hot water. This will ensure that you have removed all algae and any other debris that is in the fish aquarium.
